NEW LANDSCAPE WATERING

  • LAWNS - New Lawns, whether seeded or sodded should be watered one half inch per

day. The seeds or sod roots should not dry out.

  • TREES - Balled trees need less water than shrubs because they are buried deep in the

ground. A deep soaking once every 6 days is adequate. This means

                 15 minutes per tree.

  • SHRUBS - A deep soaking every 3 days is adequate. This means about 5 minutes

                    per shrub.

  • ANNUALS - For the first 2 weeks water throughly. Soil should be allowed to dry

                      out between waterings.

PERENNIALS - Because they have a shallow root structure, they should be

                        watered every 2-3 days.
